In the latest, ‘Meet the Team,’ our new Project Director Graham gives us the 411.

1. What is your role at ClarityDX?

Projects Director

2. What does an average day for you look like?

I tend to get in early to check my emails and plan the day ahead. As a new starter (!) I’m still getting to grips with the office systems while getting to know the team and clients. In and around this, I’m taking the opportunity to introduce myself to clients as well as working on the delivery of a few projects that have recently come into the studio. Rolling your sleeves up and getting involved in delivery is a great way to get to know the processes and help identify ways that can be made to help efficiencies to benefit the client and the team.

3. What’s the most challenging part of your job?

Managing expectations and keeping people happy.

4. Any advice for those who want to do what you do?

Never assume! Project management comes with a lot of moving parts so it’s important to be diligent to help uncover grey areas and nip issues in the bud.

5. What future design and/or technology developments in the industry are you excited about?

I started out in interactive TV and have always had an interest in how technology continues to compete for our attention and make our lives easier and more fun. I’m a big fan of voice recognition which will continue to evolve, bringing with it innovations in conversational design too.

6. What are your passions/hobbies/interests?

Football, music and my kids are my big passion. My weekends are usually spent either watching my team (Chelsea) or watching my son play. Usually on a cold, windswept and raining muddy pitch somewhere in South London.

7. What’s your favourite thing to read in print / online?

I love history and travel books. I discovered a British Heart Foundation bookshop where the books only cost a couple of quid so I tend to go in there. It’s a great way to pick up books you wouldn’t otherwise have come across on Amazon or in Waterstones.  I’m reading about Abraham Lincoln at the moment

8. Tell us a random fact about you…

I can leap up the stairs four at a time. I’m also the great, great, great grandson of an Arctic Explorer.

Let's Talk

Do you have a web design and build project coming up that you would like to talk about?
