Meet the team: Olly
What is your role at ClarityDX?
Head of New Business & Marketing.
What does an average day look like for you?
Preparing for and running or shadowing New Business calls with prospects – and encouraging them to become new clients! On the Marketing side, it’s learning all about the ClarityDX, Clarity Performance and FINITE propositions and beginning to work on a roadmap for the next stage in the journey.
What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Digital Marketers have a huge amount of data at their fingertips – in a new role in particular the challenge (for me) is identifying which data to focus on, in order to make the most informed business decisions.
Any advice for those who want to do what you do?
Ask the right questions and show that you have listened to the answers.
What future design and/or technology developments in the industry are you excited about?
Tech that makes the world a bit better is exciting. For example the Fintech charity Pennies that simplifies and expedites micro-donations, or the Health app Juno that allows parents fast digital access to consultants if their child is unwell.
What are your passions/hobbies/interests?
Sport (playing squash & tennis mainly), watching films & TV dramas, long walks to discover new places, listening to music and reading.
What’s your favourite thing to read in print/online?
I still buy printed books, and enjoy historical fiction – currently I’m reading Tombland by CJ Sansom – it’s a sort of Tudor detective story.
What music is currently trending on your playlist?
Supergrass, as I’m seeing them live this month – first gig for a long time.
Tell us a random fact about you…
I run a pop up cinema in my local area (Collective Cinema), screening less commonly seen films (Silent and International mainly) – which will hopefully be back again soon!
What do clients really look for in an agency?
Back-seat drivers cause car crash website projects
