Meet the Team: Hannah
A real-life conversation: we get to know our new Marketing Exec Hannah a little more, finding out where she gets her enthusiasm and excitement for life from.
1. What is your role at ClarityDX?
Marketing Exec
2. What does an average day for you look like?
So far, I am yet to have an average day, my ‘to do list’ is constantly changing. However, I have been learning how to use new tools like Beauhurst and Jeremy’s favourite, ‘teamwork’. I usually have a spot of lunch with Jeremy whilst exploring the local area during my lunch break. Afterwards, I have been looking at how ClarityDX may improve their social media presence by putting together a social strategy which will hopefully be implemented in the near future and writing new blog content such as an interview with ClarityDX collaborator Alex Denning about WordCamp Europe.
3. What’s the most challenging part of your job?
I find having to quickly learn and remember how to use new tools that are necessary to create great marketing content quite challenging.
4. Any advice for those who want to do what you do?
The advice I would give would be that whilst having a degree of marketing knowledge is important, what is essential is that you have an eagerness to learn, creativity and a deep understanding of the aims and goals of your marketing campaigns. In addition, I would say having the ability to fluently and articulately write interesting blog posts and articles is pretty essential.
5. What future design and/or technology developments in the industry are you excited about?
A few nights ago Jeremy and I went to a Funding London 2018 FinTech & InsurTech Showcase, I thought one of the Fintech companies talked about, in particular, Klarna was a really interesting company. You can have the option to ‘pay later’ for an order at certain retailers such as Asos, Topshop etc. Really cool and innovative, as a shopaholic, I will definitely be making use of Klarna!
6. What are your passions/hobbies/interests?
Fashion, friends and travelling around the world
7.What’s your favourite thing to read in print/online?
As cliché as it may sound, I like to keep up to date with current affairs, so BBC news and the Guardian are the first things I read in the morning. However, I love reading lifestyle blogs, health books and fashion magazines in my spare time. Regarding trade publications, The Drum and Econsultancy are both really interesting.
8. Tell us a random fact about you…
I really like hiking, my favourite hike so far has been up to the highest trekkable summit in India – Stok Kangri. One day, I want to tackle Everest!
